Here’s what’s happening at the Crate this Autumn

The Crate’s first Summer was a whole vibe, but now Autumn is here we’re looking forward to cosier times and some spooky fun.

Autumn bar opening times

The bar opening times have changed now the evenings are drawing in. We’re still open until 11pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays but are now closed on Wednesday evenings and closing at the earlier time of 8pm on Sundays.

We’ve introduced a couple of Happy Hours to help keep spirits up. On Thursdays, you can get 20% off any drink from 6-8pm and enjoy the last part of the weekend with any two cocktails for £12 on Sundays from 3pm.

Pumpkin Carving at The Crate – Sunday 23rd October

Make your pumpkin lanterns here, ready for half-term Halloween fun.

We’ll be selling pumpkins along with mini carving kits and tea lights from 3-6pm so you can create your lanterns without the mess at home. Pumpkin carving isn’t just fun for the kids…it’s a chance for anyone to get creative.

We’ll be serving some Halloween specials too, including our cocktail of the month ‘The Zombie’ and pumpkin and chickpea soup.

Cafe and Bar closed – Wednesday 26th October

We will be closed on Wednesday 26th October for a private staff meeting.

Sunday Market – Sunday 30th October

Our monthly Sunday market will be here with all your favourite local craft and produce traders. Sussex and Hampshire Hog will be taking over the kitchen from 3pm for the first of our winter warmer menus…’3 Little Pigs’

Pre Trick or Treat Destination – Monday 31st October

If you’re planning some Trick or Treating on Halloween evening, make sure you come and see us at The Crate. We’re going all out on spooky decorations and will have some fun games for the kids to enjoy before you set off.

We’ll be stocked up with plenty of sweets and serving takeaway hot chocolates (adult and children sized) to keep you warm while you’re hitting the streets of Bosham with your little ghosts and ghouls.

Spooky photo booth – Thursday 27th to Monday 31st October

Halloween shouldn’t just be about the kids…adults love an excuse to get dressed up too! We’ll be turning a corner of the Crate into a spooky photo booth full of weird and wonderful decorations and props. Come down and get a Halloween photo for the ‘gram.

‘Call My Wine Bluff’ Wine quiz and tasting evening – Wednesday 2nd November

Think you know your Noir from your Grigio? Rioja from Ribera? Put your drinking skills to the test and book in to join us for an evening of ‘Call My Wine Bluff’ in association with Hennings Wine.
