The Crate Cafe is born from the vision of two local families. Inspired by the laid back Indonesian culture and atmosphere we wanted to bring that lifestyle to the South Coast.
With unique settings in the heart of local communities, each Crate Cafe destination is a place to escape reality, embrace the outdoors and experience that relaxed holiday feeling.

Our Destinations
The Crate Bosham
Located in the heart of Bosham with a backdrop of the fields and South Downs, The Crate Bosham is a unique cafe and bar offering takeaways and outdoor seating (with cover and heating to protect you from the elements!).
Its unique design is a transformed shipping container, with a strong sustainability ethos and community spirit.
Our team serve up great coffee and fresh delicious food, seven days a week. The bar (another old transformed shipping container!) offers seasonal opening hours and a relaxed vibe with local live music nights and regular events.
The Crate Trafalgar
With a waterside location and views of Portsmouth Harbour, The Crate Trafalgar is a vibrant cafe and bar offering sit-down dining, takeaways and a unique community space.
Our team serve up great coffee and fresh delicious food, seven days a week to enjoy at the cafe, on the go or on the water. Our bar offers seasonal opening hours, evening food and a laid back vibe for chilled beats and sun downers.
